This summer, three teams of people living with Parkinson’s cycled over 10,000 kms across Canada, visiting all provinces, two territories and three coasts in 60 days.

The Spinning Wheels Relay to End Parkinson’s reached those living in isolation, raised awareness, and generated funds to end Parkinson’s Disease.

The relay ended September 28th with all teams arriving in Ottawa for a Celebration on Parliament Hill.

Passion for Parkinson’s hosted the riders on Saturday September 21st at Lakefront Promenade Park as they were making their 50k ride from Hamilton. We heard heartwarming stories from the riders on how they brought awareness to remote communities and how touched they were by peoples hospitality and generosity.

A big thank you to Maple Lodge Farms, Perrier and Chartwell who sponsored our lunch and BBQ. Also, a special thanks to Dual Frequency for providing such great music.

Just look how much fun we had!
